HEALTHY POULTRY IS THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS QUALITATIVE AND SAFE FOOD PRODUCTION.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Realising the importance of social responsibility <\/span>to<\/span> business, <\/span>MHP<\/span>,<\/span> and <\/span>its <\/span>Qualiko<\/span> brand<\/span>,<\/span> implements and <\/span>maintains<\/span> the humane treatment of animals in all <\/span>its<\/span> enterprises. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Th<\/span>is<\/span> policy<\/span>, developed <\/span>in accordance with<\/span> local and European regulations, is based on the following points:<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n


Quality food<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The animals receive compound feeds for which raw materials <\/span>are grown<\/span> at <\/span>MHP<\/span> enterprises<\/span>, which<\/span> ensures <\/span>quality control. <\/span>T<\/span>he animals <\/span>are <\/span>also <\/span>always provided<\/span> with <\/span>the required amount <\/span>of <\/span>fresh drinking water<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n


Creating comfortable conditions<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We ensure a suitable housing environment where the animals have a suitable microclimate and sufficient space for free movement.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n


Health safety<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The main policy of MHP is that prevention is better than cure, which is why the animals are always under the supervision of competent specialists, undergo preventive vaccinations and receive (if required) prompt treatment.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n


Interaction with qualified personnel<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Veterinary supervision <\/span>of the <\/span>poultry <\/span>is provided<\/span> exclusively by <\/span>appropriately qualified <\/span>professional specialists<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We follow the <\/span>relevant <\/span>regulations based on the international standards, doing our best to <\/span>eliminate<\/span> the risk of injury, <\/span>fear<\/span> and stress in <\/span>the <\/span>animals. All employees involved in working with <\/span>the <\/span>poultry have been trained <\/span>by<\/span> the competent regulatory authority of Ukraine <\/span>\u2013<\/span> the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection<\/span> \u2013<\/span> and <\/span>have <\/span>received <\/span>appropriate certificates<\/span> confirming their level of knowledge in the field of humane treatment of animals.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n


MHP shares GLOBAL S.L.P.\u2019s standards<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We consider (and that is a key difference) the safety of the entire production cycle, including the stocking density and other aspects of animal welfare, biosafety, environmental protection and employee welfare.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n


The bird<\/span>s<\/span> are<\/span> supervised from the age of one day<\/span> old<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Every day<\/span>,<\/span> the specialists of the zoological inspection service verify the quality of the <\/span>flock<\/span>, the microclimate of the poultry house, the availability of food and water, <\/span>and <\/span>the general condition of the animals. Discarded individuals (developmental delays, weakened, with signs of injury, <\/span>lameness<\/span> or natural injury, etc.) <\/span>are removed<\/span> from the <\/span>flock<\/span> in a humane manner.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Strict control of the Salmonella genus bacteria <\/span>is implemented<\/span> at <\/span>MHP<\/span> enterprises for breeding and keeping poultry. Th<\/span>erefore<\/span>, <\/span>standardised measures have <\/span>been implemented<\/span> to<\/span> prevent and exclude the appearance of the Salmonella genus bacteria:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u2022 observance of biosafety requirements;
\u2022 pest control;
\u2022 input control of raw materials;
\u2022 personal hygiene of the staff;
\u2022 management of waste and by-products of animal origin;
\u2022 washing and disinfection of poultry houses, hatcheries, slaughterhouses and processing shops of complexes, production, refrigeration and storage facilities, recyclable polymer containers, vehicles, etc. and constant laboratory quality control of such activities.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

No acts of violence or abuse are allowed<\/strong> while<\/span> catching birds for transportation or slaughter. Animal welfare inspectors ensure that the procedure <\/span>is performed<\/span> when the individuals are calm, clean<\/span>,<\/span> and at rest<\/span>, and the<\/span> conditions of the animals<\/span>\u2019<\/span> stay are carefully <\/span>monitored<\/span> during transportation to reduce the possibility of stress and suffering.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

MHP<\/span> has implemented a feedback procedure between the slaughterhouses and poultry farms to assess the welfare of<\/span> the<\/span> poultry during breeding and transportation. The slaughterhouses <\/span>are governed<\/span> by clear <\/span>KPI<\/span>s<\/span> on health and welfare, <\/span>as well as <\/span>damage and injury to birds during capture and transportation. The farms assess the compliance with <\/span>the <\/span>regulations, according to the <\/span>KPI<\/span>s<\/span>, <\/span>and <\/span>in <\/span>a <\/span>case of non-compliance, we <\/span>initiate<\/span> a corporate investigation to <\/span>identify<\/span> the causes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
